Back when we were kids, ROOS were invented when Robert Gamm wanted an easy place to carry his change and house key while running. So in 1979, the designer/architect dreamed up his now famous zipper pocket and attached it to an athletic shoe with energy return technology which he helped paten. Gamm enlisted athletic superstars like Walter Payton and Clyde Drexler to spread the message.

Today, the shoes still have the same zipper pocket you remember, and ROOS athletic-inspired footwear is cooler than ever. Some styles are classic old school, while others more modern and streamlined. But they all have a super cool urban-authentic-vintage-back to the playground vibe.

Each style lets wearers express their mood and individuality with quirky colors and patterns. With purples, pinks, greens, polka dots, Velcro, zippers and that cute little kangaroo, the shoes tell the world a lot about you. So as Robert Gamm would say, “Take on the world when you rock your ROOS.”
