MIA
MIA distinguished itself in the U.S. with the classic “Swedish Clog” of the late 1970’s. The company is privately owned, as it was back then, but now has four full business divisions. However, women’s fashion is still the cornerstone of its business.
The young women’s lines splashed onto the scene in the early 90s with the “Noti” and “Naomi.” Ever since, MIA has been updating its designs, continually producing fresh new looks year after year. The company creates a number of styles, several of which have been featured recently in Seventeen, Glamour and CosmoGirl.
MIA is still identified by its clog roots and the brand’s stylish use of wood with wedges and heels. It also uses quality Brazilian leather in many of its shoes, as well as beautiful and real looking synthetics. The company has made a name for itself by combining its creative approach to fashion with prices that won’t burn a hole in your pocket.
